Lord Hanuman is also known as Anjaneya Swamy and Vayuputra. Every year Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated four times. Chaitra Shukla Purnima (all-over India), Vaishaka Shukla Dasami (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka), Margashirsha Krishna Paksha Amavasya (Kerala), and Kartika Krishna Chaturdasi in Northern India is celebrated as the anniversary of Lord Hanuman.
This year Shubhakrutha Chaitra Shukla Purnima on Saturday falls on 16/4/22 is the occasion of the birth of Hanuman and the rest are celebrated as victory of Lord Hanuman.
In Tryeta yug birth of Lord Hanuman is very auspicious. He was born to two monkeys Anjana Devi and Kesari. Let us know the sacred story of two monkeys. In Indralok there is an Apsara a celestial nymph by the name Punjika sthala.

One day Brihaspati visited Amaravati to meet Lord Indra, at that moment Apsara visioned Brihaspati and developed negative thoughts towards him. Immediately she was cursed by Brihaspati to become Monkey. She realized her mistake and requested to forgive and release from the curse. Then Brihaspati said when you get a son with the vitality of Lord Shiva you will release from the curse and become a celestial nymph to reach Indralok.

Thereafter she became a monkey named Anjanadevi. While she was wandering in the forest she met another monkey by the name of Kesari. They both fall in love and got married. With the blessings of the Lord, Shiva Anjanadevi is performing Tapasya to release from the curse.
Meanwhile, in Ayodhya, King Dasarath is performing Putra Kameshthi Yagna with his three wives Kaushalya, Sumitra, and Kaikeye for children with the blessings of his Kula Guru Vashistha Rushi. After completion of Yagna a holy sweet Savory, Payasam is given to King Dasarath by Vashishtha Rushi to distribute among three wives.
At that time a blow of wind carried some portion of Payasam and fell into the lap of Anjaneya Devi. Then Lord Shiva directed to consume holy Payasam immediately. Thereafter she conceived and on Chaitra Shukla Purnima at 6.00 A M. she delivered a baby boy. He was named Anjaneya and Vayuputra a holy Payasam carried by Vayu.
In childhood, he tried to eat Lord Surya and due to heat, his upper lip was burnt Lord Surya named him Hanuman. He was born with the blessings of Shiva, Vayu, and Surya.

The Lord Hanuman is one of Saptha Chiranjeevi which means there is no death and lives for Yug to Yugs. Since Treyta yug till today he is alive and wandering to protect dharma. He is famous as Chiranjeevi. He is also a great warrior with the boon of blessings by Brahma, Agni, Indra, Yama, Surya, and Vishwakarma. He is called Veer Hanuman and his sitting posture is also different as he performed Veera Sadhana. During Ramayan, he played a vital role to defeat Ravana and also he protected Sitamata. He is an ardent devotee of Lord Rama. He tore his heart and showed Lord Sitarama in his heart. He continuously chants only Sriram Sriram Sriram. He is said to be Ramdoot Hanuman. Lord Sriram used to call him Navavangmaya.

It means he is well-versed in nine procedures of Grammer. Even though Rushi Paninya is a Pioneer of Grammer, Lord Hanuman is also Vangmaya. He is good at wrestling the oldest form of dangal. He holds a golden mace a Gadha in his hand as his weapon. He is said to be Bajrangbal. He is Brahma Chari known as Ajnma Brahmachari.
He left his life in service of Lord Rama. A great poet Tulsidas wrote Hanuman Chalisa in Kaliyug a devotional hymn devoted to Lord Hanuman in Awadhi language consisting of 40 verses. It describes the glory of Hanuman and his love for Lord Rama. Today this hymn is an encyclopedia of Lord Hanuman.
Know a days before Hanuman Jayanti devotees take Mandala Hanuman Deeksha wearing orange cloths for 40 days and Hanuman Chalisa is recited by all his devotees for 40 days. On Chaitra Shukla Purnima mandala Deeksha ends. On this day before 6 A.M., Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated.
A cradle ceremony is performed with Gulal and flowers. In some regions of India, Hanuman Kalyan Mahotsav is performed to honor Lord Hanuman with Suvarchal Devi. He can expand, contrast his body and fly with the boon of Astha Maha Siddhi. Due to this Siddhi, he went to Kingdom Lanka and set fire. He completely accompanied Lord Rama to kill Ravana.
