Diwali or Deepawali is a festival of lights and a five-day festival. Celebrate Diwali for material and spiritual gain. Diwali is a day for manifestation. Manifestation means to achieve what we require in our life. In recent times we hear a lot about manifestation in newspapers and social media to chant magical numbers. What are these numbers and their existence?
We are aware of Hindu Dharma is Santana Dharma and any science is an offshoot of Vedas. Therefore these magical numbers are used for ages. Sankhya is related to Akshar. A/AA is No.1. Gum, hreem, shreem, kleem, and so on are Ekakshara. Every Month begins with Pratipada meaning 1, Purnima number 15, and 30 Amavasya. Each number signifies its importance and worship of relevant Gods or Goddesses. The 11 number is Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu is worshipped by Vaishnava and Madhava cultures.
Next is Trayodashi’s 13th number, where Lord Shiva and Nandi are worshipped in Pradosh time. Therefore tithi relates to the number which is most auspicious in the Hindu calendar. Today we come across manifestation numbers like 99, 111, 444, 555, and so on. Let us go back to our Vedic period when Mantra, Tantra, and Yantra were followed for any Hindu Religious occasion.
There are many yantras with letters, numbers, and a mix of letters and numbers. Yantra is a physical form of a person. Mantra is a recital by a person and Tantra is worship by a person. Basically, Mantra is that which saves the mind whereas Brahma is the substance of everything. A person who saves his mind is Guru and his wife Haripriya, who is honoured as goddess Lakshmi. All activities are mantras and every performance is Akshara.
Vedas give importance to numbers for fulfilling all desires. Panchadashi yantra has 4 vertical and horizontal lines and its sum is 15. Likewise, Chowbeesa and Chatisa yantras sums are 24 and 36. Each numerical yantra has perspective value in human life to achieve any goal, desire, pleasure, wealth, health, and business with complete determination to create a smooth path.
Now the matter comes how to manifest to reach the desired path. It is not as simple as purchasing chocolate from the store. With the blessings of a renowned Pundit or Guru get knowledge of how to perform Pooja of such yantra. Matsyendranath is the pioneer of Nath sampradaya, a disciple of Swami Dattatreya, who developed numerical yantras and mantras in the local language known as Sabar Vidhan.
Goddess Lakshmi Devi is worshipped during Diwali as Deepa Lakshmi and also in various forms as Astha Lakshmi. Dwadasa Lakshmi and Shodasa Lakshmi in form of Mantra, Tantra and yantra. To get a fortune Chant continuously Lakshmi Mantra Akshar Shreem. A numerical yantra is as follows:
Beesa Yantra
1 | 8 | 3 | 8 |
7 | 4 | 5 | 4 |
7 | 2 | 9 | 2 |
5 | 6 | 3 | 6 |
Beesa means twenty. The sum is 20 from all sides. It is useful in Mantra, Tantra, and Yantra Pooja. Yantra is said to be another form of a person. It is the physical body of a person. A person’s desire is fulfilled by establishing Yantra in a Pooja room or purse. There are many types of Beesa Yantra such as Lakshmi Beesa Yantra for wealth and prosperity. Durga Beesa Yantra to overcome hurdles in life. Sowbhagya Beesa yantra for happy marital life. It is also established in temples. Similarly, Chowbeesa Yantra (24) is used to fight against enemies. Chattisa Yantra (36) is useful in business development.
Any Yantra helps to manifest and concentrate the energy of a person’s mind to attain dreams within a specific period. To get fast results more and more intensity is required for a single purpose. Along with intense rituals to be performed by way of Mantra and Tantra. Mantra is a recital of Bheejakshar and Tantra is a ritual. According to Ankya Shastra (Numerology), an alphabet has a numerical value that represents the prosperity of a person. There is a saying that a good name is rather to be chosen than great riches. In Devanagari, Akshara mala or Varna mala consists of 54 letters and is read in reverse resulting in 108 Akshar.
Akshar is pronounced with 3 letters AUM, the eternity. Akshar & numbers are interrelated. The divine God is Brahma (self) who gives knowledge known as Akshara Brahma. The four Vedas are recited by Brahma (Veda Purush) in a particular procedure. When Brahma meditates with his mouth, Rig Veda reveals.
When Brahma meditates with his tongue Sama Veda reveals. When Brahma meditates with his throat Yajur Veda reveals. When Brahma meditates with his heart Atharva Veda reveals. While installing the Copper pot during the time of Pooja the names of four Vedas are chanted. Since Vedic period letters are specified with numbers. 18 Puranas, 18 Chapters in Geeta, 108 Shakti peeth, 108 beads of Mani Mala or Rosary mala, and its sum is nine headed by Mars and Lord of Aries and Scorpio.
In Astrology, there are nine planets, 27 stars, and 12 zodiac signs with a numerical value. The ninth planet is Ketu or Dragon tail results in moksha, ascetic, and detachment and its Lord is Panchamukha Ganapati. Sahasrajun has 1000 hands, Dasabhuja has 10 hands, Ashtadasa bhuja 18 hands and so on. Sankhya and Akshara are correlated. While chanting any mantra specific number is ascertained like 1, 5, 11, 21, 54, and 108 malas respectively. In the Hindu calendar, there are 60 years 7 days in a week, 30 or 31 days in a month, and 12 months in a year for calculation.

A line in Lakshmi Arathi is Karma Prabhav Prakashini Nava Nidhi ki Datha. Matha Lakshmi Kartha of Karma. It is the result of work. Vedas and Upanishads mention Karta, Karma, and Kriya. Doer, result, and action. A person’s action is the result of his life. There are two types of Kriya one is material and the other is spiritual.
