worship of diety on Kartik Purnima during Kartik Purnima:
Kartik Purnima is also called Tripurari Purnima. On this day Tripura Bhairavi is worshipped, to achieve knowledge for Kundalini Awakening [Jaagran]. Tripura Bhairavi is the Sixth Mahavidya. Tripura means Mann (Mind), Chitt(sub_conscious) and Buddhi (Wisdom). To glorify Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwar, three sets of 365 ghee wicks (Cotton Vathi) are lit in clay pots on Kartik Purnima in front of a Tulsi plant. Devotees get the benefit of worshipping of one-year pooja.
Performance of Rituals on Kartik Purnima:
During early hours on Kartik Purnima, devotees take a dip in one of the holy rivers. It is auspicious to visit the Pushkar place in Rajasthan to worship Lord Brahma. It is believed that this will help one and all to overcome difficulties in life.
Devotees observe fasting on this day. Brahmans are offered with meals and donation (daan) like Bed sheets, Blanket, Cot, Clothes and precious Gems to attain good health.
Spiritual discourses from Bhagwat Gita are recited on this day and for gaining wealth and prosperity, edible pan i.e. Tambulam is offered to Lord Vishnu.
To attain Moksha Prapti, Shivling or Shaligram is donated to Purohit or in Temple. On Kartik Purnima, Sudarshan Shaligram is worshipped for Health and Wealth. It is last day of Kartik Purnima in North India and also for Tulsi Vivah. Perform all the rituals according to your Traditions. Maintain social distance, wear Mask, follow Covid-19 rules.
